Vat That Luang’s present viharn is in the style featuring a peripheral nave with three naves and nine bays. Before 1975, Vat That Laung was the center for the cremation of the highest dignitaries of the royal family.

INTERESTING STORIES

 

King Sisavangvong is buried there and his remains are in the front stupa. The one behind is supposed to house relics of the Buddha.
