ICH Luang Prabang

The safeguading of intangible cultural heritage data collection in Luang Prabang World Heritage city receives financial support from Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation (CHF).

Expected results

– Information of the background and important role of “Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH)” in coherent with livelihood of people of Luang Prabang city.

– Enabling record of physical data, movements, acting style equipment, technical and methodological process production.

– Keeping in database for sustainable safeguarding and promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

– To raise awareness at the local, national and international levels of the importance of the intangible cultural heritage, and of ensuring mutual appreciation thereof.

Status of Implementation consisted of

Training workshop on community-based inventory making of intangible cultural heritage, training workshop on techniques and skills on audio recording, video and photography, survey and collecting data, making Video documentation and purchased some necessary and important equipment for utilization in the actual works
